Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Funny, I thought the pizza would be ready when I got there like they advertised. Pizza Now! was more like Pizza Wait 15 or 20 minutes. I went here on a Tuesday night at 5:30, waited in line to order and then waited for my pizzas. I saw several pizzas come out of the oven, get sliced, get put in the box and then get put into a warming bin. I couldn't figure out why me or any of the other waiting customers weren't getting pizzas! We had already paid, so all you needed to do was take the box and walk away. I guess you get what you pay for. For $5 you can get a large cheese, pepperoni or sausage pizza or an 8 piece order of buffalo wings. Extra toppings cost extra money. The wings are very meaty, but not very spicy. They don't numb your lips. The pizzas themselves remind me of the old Dominos. This is located in a strip mall that also has an Aldis in it. It is only a carryout facility without anywhere to even sit while you are waiting for your pizza. I have 4 boys and they consume mass quantities, so I thought I would give this place a shot. The reviews from my kids were mixed. Some said it was ok, another said that it wasn't saucy enough and one is not sure. So whether I return or not remains a mystery!

Hey everybody guess what! It's a large pizza for 5 dollars! Now, contrary to some of the other reviews I find this pizza to be far superior to a frozen pizza. So if you do the math it's two large (one topping) pizzas for ten dollars and three for 15 - you can really keep going further with this, really. PN is really not a bad pie for the price. Yes, it is a little bland but it's amazing what a little table salt will do. Just to be clear, I'm not looking for much customer service and decor is not important but just give them a call before you leave your house and tell them what you want - it'll be waiting for you when you get there (that's what I do). I didn't notice the 3 topping deal for $ 7.77 when I was there last week but saw it today and I think I'll try that next time. For perspective - Other things you can buy for $5: subway footlong, a 24 pack of diet coke, one big Mac and fries, a box of cereal, 2 Starbucks hot chocolates (small), shampoo and conditioner (the cheap stuff like I buy), 2 gallons of gas, etc. I like this place enough to give them a star for every dollar I spent on my pizza (just to hammer in my point). it's nothing special but It is what it is.

I completely DISAGREE with the majority of the reviews. Pizza Now is fantastic. They're prices are the same as Little Caesars ($5) but the pizza is faaar better. It's cooked well, the crust is chewy, and the breadsticks are great. I always get a pepperoni and if I didn't stop myself I could eat the whole thing one sitting. Now sure, there are some places that are better, but for the price AND the quality it beats anything similar. To put it simply, I live 2 minutes from Dominoes and LC but prefer to go over to Pizza Now when I want something quick. Ever since Gene, the owner, stopped running the counter in West Chicago the young guys back there are kind of inept. They give a sense that they don't really want to be there, but when Gene is there he is always willing to talk to customers and is the friendliest guy in the world. Give the place a first and/or second chance. It's good.

SaRAWR: You want Pizza? Me: Pizza? When? SaRAWR: PIZZA!! NOW!!!! They got pizza when you want it. As long as you want it right now. They're like frozen pizzas that some one else made for you and charged you $5. This place would be a 2 star, meh. I've experienced better except that for $5 I've rarely had better. It is what it is and that's about it.

You get exactly what you expect from this place. I wanted extra topping and still made the pizza in less than 5 minutes. The pizza wasn't undercooked even for how quick they made it. Cheap, good pizza with spicy jalapeños! If you can't handle the spice, be careful! I loved it and was pleased with exactly what I got. I needed this pizza quick cause I was running late and worked out perfect! Also friendly staff!

This place is AWESOME. They are very quick cheap and easy pizzas to order. The first time we got this pizza we ordered it for a big party and it was a hit! Kudos! Pizza Now recently opened a location closer to home in Aurora, IL. I can't wait to try it! I definitely will keep this place in business as long as they keep the pizzas coming!!

Great pizza for a great price! Better than the other low prices pizzas by far. Very friendly employees. Pizza is always fresh and hot. Lots of cheese and good cheese too!

Here's a family owned business (since 2005) with 3 different locations. It's take out only and they are very prompt. We called them and said we were 10 minutes out and they put our order in right away. It took 1-2 minutes when we entered, paid, and then walked out of the place with 3 pizzas and 1 order of breadsticks. All that cost $18. $5 for a 14" pizza? I'll take that! They were decent pizzas too. Thickness was appropriate and toppings were put on generously. Flavor was good too. I just needed to put on hot sauce on top (just the way I like my pizzas). It's a take out only place, which was not a problem for us. The guy helping us out was one of the 3 sons and was pretty cheery on a Sunday afternoon. I suppose each son is at their own location. We're out to support the family owned businesses. They definitely have a system worked out. Job well done.

It's a great value for the price but isn't a luxury pizza. It's quick and easy when you need food now and can't wait an hour for a different pizza

This is a take-out place; the staff if very friendly. The menu is extremely limited; the food is, well, just plain gross. We've had pizzas from this place three times, and the experience has been the same. The concept is fast-food pizza, which just means they've already made the food and it sits in a warming box. The crust is dry/chewy and flavorless; the sauce is bland; the toppings are average. Think about it: a frozen pizza costs more than their ready-made pizza.

Great pizza with very friendly staff. Great pizza place in West Chicago! Keep up the good work.

For $5, Pizza Now offers a pretty good pizza. It's a standard crust with a decent sauce and plenty of cheese and toppings. Their bread sticks are great plain or with one of their dipping sauces. I also feel better about spending my money at a local chain versus something national like Little Caesars.

Hey, I like pizza, and when a whole pizza is about $5, I like it even more. It may not be as good as Pal Joey's pizza--check my review, but you can't argue with cheap prices--especially when you're trying to feed a bunch of friends & family without breaking the bank! I like the idea that they almost always have pizzas ready to go, I've only had to wait for about 5 minutes one time, but then again, I've never ordered more than 6 pizzas. I recommend getting the special for 2 pizzas, 8 breadsticks, 8 wings, and 2 liter soda. I think it's about $16 and the wings are actually pretty good. I was just there and noticed that they've added more options for toppings as well as a new special, any 3 toppings for $7.77. I'll try it out next time I decide to cheat on my diet. Holla!!!â„¢

I wanted to like this place and their pizza. You know, you're leaving work, feel exhausted, can't decide what to make for dinner, feel short on cash- it would be so convenient just to swing by and pick up a $5 pizza. The pizza is OK- kind of bland, with dry but chewy crust. Not my favorite by a long shot. My main disappointment was in the person behind the counter. He was playing on his cell phone and didn't even say hello when I walked in. I felt like I was bothering him. He seemed to have no desire to show any customer service. I left feeling frustrated. I did get the pizza right away, as advertised. I know you can't have high expectations for a $5 pizza but my experience was disappointing. Little Caesars has the same deal- if you're short on cash and need a quick dinner, I'd recommend them.

For $5 a pop, it's good, but there are so many other places that are better. I often use this place for student council fundraisers; the middle school kids are pretty easy to please. On another note, three times I have ordered large amounts of pizza, and the staff offered no help in bringing the pizzas out any of those three times.

  • Mr. B.

If you're looking for a quick $5 pizza to feed the "troops" it's OK. Pizza is just so-so; breaksticks are OK too. They've ALWAYS had pizzas ready to go each time I've visited; in and out with a pizza and breaksticks in minutes!

  • Rebecca B.

Great pizzas for five bucks. For the size and cost you can't go wrong if you have lots of people to feed! I personally enjoy their pizzas much much more than little Caesars despite the similar cost. The pizzas are ALWAYS fresh and well made. Call ahead if you know you're going to have a large order so it can be ready when you pull up! Also must say I'm happy they moved to their new location in the strip mall. They've kept this one much much cleaner and nicer. Five stars for a five dollar pizza.
